  1. Catching fire, the second book in The Hunger Games Series is a great Dystopian book by Suzanne Collins. The main characters in this book are Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark. They had many adventures and ran into many problems such as getting re chosen for the 75th Hunger Games. The two of them from District 12 out of 12 districts re enter the games with many allies. My favorite Character is Katniss because of all the problems she overcomes, her bravery, and I love the way she thinks.

This by far is my favorite book i have ever read i just love it. I think anyone who is capable of reading it should because it is just so interesting. My favorite part of the book is the ending because it just makes you want to read more. I do not have a least favorite part in the book because something is always going on. I think anyone who reads it will think the same about it as i do.

I strongly recommend this book and the whole Hunger Games Series to other people to all kinds
of readers even people who do not like reading, I guarantee you will will like this book.

  2. Looking for Alaska
    By John Green
In the heart-warming realistic fiction, Looking for Alaska by John Green, there’s a boy named Miles Halter, also known as “Pudge”, who is moving to a private school called Culver Creek. There he meets his new best friends “Chip”, Takumi, Lara and the beautiful mysterious love of his life. Alaska Young. Pudge has a talent of memorizing famous peoples last words and has moved on from his safe life at home and becomes the total opposite to seek the “Great Perhaps” (François Rabelais, poet). Alaska and the boys are always trying to pull off a new prank, but have to do it without getting caught by the school dean ”The Eagle”. Pudge and Alaska have an exciting weird relationship, and he tries to make the first move but is frightened Alaska’s boyfriend might come at him. The night after they pull of a tremendous prank, something goes wrong with Alaska. She leaves not telling anyone and never comes back. Is she dead or is it just another one of her pranks? You’ll have to read to find out.
Looking for Alaska is one of my favorite books because it has a mysterious twist in it and just don’t want to stop reading it. My favorite character has to be Alaska. She is that rebel girl everyone loves and has a very mysterious personal life you’ll want to find out more about. This book is a great book to read if you’re into mysteries or crazy love stories. I’m a huge John Green fan and there might be some of you who won’t really be interested in this novel, but that’s okay there’s other amazing books by John Green which you might love. If you’re interested in this fascinating book, I’d consider you go on and read it.

  3. The dystopian genre novel The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is an action packed story you're sure to love. You'll fall in love with the characters Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark as they're forced into the hunger games, a fight to the death! The hunger games is where one girl and boy from each of the 12 districts are brought to the capital to fight till there is one remaining victor and all the other opponents are dead. Sadly, from district 12, Peeta and Katniss are forced to take part in this terrifying adventure. They are faced with the problem that only one of them can come out alive. Who will it be? The book is full of action, but also has some sad parts during the games. My favorite character is Katniss because she is brave, but also sweet and caring, that comes in handy during the games.
I like this book because its dystopian, the characters are described very well, its humorous, and its packed with action, that’s why I recommend this book to read. My favorite part is when they're in the games and katniss makes alliances with Rue, a character you'll learn about later. You'll have to read the book to find out the saddest part, my least favorite part. If you don’t like dystopian or action you might think this book isn’t the best read but if you do, you'll think it’s great.
I recommend this book to middle school readers because it is a little violent and sad and wouldn’t be the best book for little kids to read, not to mention the vocabulary would be too challenging. The book isn’t short so you’ll have to be willing to read through it but if you like this genre you won’t want to put the book down. This book has scenes from fighting to romance so different people can enjoy this book but, the best reader is dystopian lovers, it really captures that genre well. The Hunger Games is a wonderful book, that I strongly recommend you to read.

  4. Out of my mind
Out of my mind is a realistic fiction written by Sharon Draper .This is about a girl named Melody. Melody has a special need called cerebral palsy. There is something about Melody that almost nobody knows, she is very smart. She lives with her parents, but soon having a baby sister. One of the main characters in the story is Mrs. V or known as Mrs. Valencia ,one of the reasons she is a main character is because she helped Melody all through out by helping her to talk because it was melody`s wish to talk. The second main character is her little sister Penny, Melody looks up to her because she can do anything that Melody couldn’t do when she was small because of her special needs. One problem that one of the main characters got into was her sister Penny. Penny got outside when it was raining and the wind was really high so it blew her away and ended up going to the hospital. An adventure that melody went on was with her friend Rosa. They went to an aquarium together with her parents. Overall Melody was my favorite, it inspires me to use what I have because she can`t talk or walk and I can walk and talk.
I LOVED this book, I think other people should read it I think it will inspire them like it did to me. My favorite part of the book is when Melody proved everyone who doubted her. I don’t really have a least part of the book it was a really good book. Other opinions that people might have of this book is probably the same as mine that it`s really good book. I really do recommend this book to others it will change how you act and use what you have while you can. I think middle schoolers should read this book its probably your AR level. If you don’t like reading this book is definitely going to want you to read more.

  5. The Hunger Games
This dystopian novel is about a young girl named Katniss Everdeen, who is also known as the “girl on fire.” She lives with her sister Primrose Everdeen and her mother in District 12. Her best friend is a guy named Gale. Katniss is barely 16 years old, but Gale is 19. It seems like Gale likes Katniss, but she just doesn’t realize it. Every year, the capital takes a young girl and a young boy from Districts 1 through 12 to become tributes in the Hunger Games, where they will fight for the death.
My favorite character in this novel is Katniss because she is a risk-taker. No matter what happens, Katniss is never afraid and she is always up for something new. I loved this book and I recommend you to read it because if you are into action books then this novel will blow your mind away.

    By: Suzanne Nelson
Suzanne Nelson has written a great Realistic Fiction book named, Cake Pop Crush. This heart-warming book is about Alicia, the main character, and her father’s bakery named Say It With Flour. All is good in the family bakery until another bakery moves in across the street. The bakery’s name is Perk Up. Guess who helps own Perk Up, a boy name Dane that Alicia may like! Alicia doesn’t know what to do! She has to worry about getting more customers, and what does she do about Dane?

  7. THE DARKEST MINDS
    by Alexandra Bracken
I have read many books, but many pale in comparison to the science fiction novel The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken. This book takes place in dystopian America where almost all the 8-11 year olds come down with a plague and die, but those that survive develop powers that are classified by colors: the blue have telekinesis; the green have
photographic memories, can hack things, and are really good with numbers; the yellow can control electricity; the orange can control people's minds and see their memories; and the red can make and control fire. Almost all the kids died of the plague, but those who didn’t got powers and were sent to concentration camps, or as the parents of the children were led to believe “rehabilitation camps.”

The main character in this story is and orange named Ruby who escapes from her rehabilitation camp, meets the other 3 most important characters: Liam, Chubs, and Zu and runs from the PSI officers who bring kids to the camps. I love hearing from Ruby’s point of view because she is such a strong character who grew so much in the story and I never found myself annoyed with her like I can be other book characters, in fact I love almost all of the characters in this book because they are so three dimensional and relatable.
Although I love this book and think everyone should read it, I wouldn’t recommend it to those looking for a light, happy book because, as the name would imply, the Darkest Minds does go to a pretty dark place and will leave you in a deep way of thinking.
Now you there reading this, I shall hear no book scoffing from you. You may think “Ew, that book sounds weird” or “ Oh, I only read (insert genre here)” but trust me on this: you will love this book. Alexandra Bracken does a great job of weaving action, suspense, and even touching moments into this intriguing plot. Now seriously GO READ THE BOOK.

    UNWIND

Unwind is the first first book of this amazing science fiction trilogy written by Neal Shusterman. After a war about abortion, they come up with unwinding. In between the ages of thirteen and eighteen your parents can choose to unwind you. That means that they can take all your body parts such as organs, skin hair and every part of you and give it to someone who needs it.

You can only be unwound if your parents think it’s necessary,it's usually because of your behavior. There is one exception, and that is if you're a tithe.Being a tithe is in your religion, you might be raised as a tithe to prepare you because on your 13th birthday you will have to be unwound as a way to give back to God.

In this fast paced book you will meet Conner,a runaway, Risa, a runaway ward of the state, and Lev, a tithe.Once you get into it, you can’t put it down.I highly recommend this book, and if you liked it, don’t hesitate to read the rest of the books in this trilogy.

Every one is with unwinding, except of course the unwinds and one man who saves them. he was a former commander who actually signed the unwind accord but then changed his mind when he mistakenly signed to unwind papers for his son to get unwound.

I would hate to get unwound and i don’t agree with what they decided. Although I know that there are people who need organ transplants and that they did it with good intentions but there has to be another way.

This is an amazing book that will have you biting your nails. I truly loved this book and I'm sure you will too. It is definitely worth your time. My favorite part is when they make it to the safety of the Graveyard, but i hated the whole part about getting caught and getting partly blown up. If you like sci-fi you will definitely love this book. Be sure to read it.

    DIVERGENT
    BY Veronica Roth
Are you looking for a good book to read then try reading Divergent. The story takes place in dystopian Chicago, were it was separated by 5 factions. Each faction values a different virtue and lives opposite of how they think the world ended. For example; Amity values peace and friendship, they think that the world ended because violence. Candor values honesty and think that the world ended because of deceit.

The main character is Beatrice “, Tris ‘’ a 16 year old girl that was born in Abnegation you will soon get to know other characters later. When Tris takes a test called the aptitude test she then finds out that she is Divergent. Divergent is when you get two or three factions in your aptitude test results. Tris gets to do risky missions and she also gets to face her fears. My favorite character in the book is Tris because she is brave and is kind to others.
I loved this book because it is action packed and it is a very amazing story. People should read this book because this made me start reading science fiction meaning that by reading this great book you will discover new worlds to explore. My favorite part was when she was taking the aptitude test because it had you wondering what is she going to do or what is she going to answer next. I did not have a least favorite part because this book is a cant stop reading it is just filled with action. Some people might not like this book but for the people that do want to read Divergent spoiler you will love this book.
When I picked up the book I thought that this was not going to be a good story until I read the first page I could not stop reading . “ There is one mirror in my house. It is behind a sliding panel in the hall way upstairs. “ Divergent is a book that you just got to love, got to have and got to read.

In this dystopian novel, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is an action-packed, love story that will keep you guessing till the end! The story is about a girl named Katniss Everdeen and guy named Peeta Mellark are forced to fight to death in the Hunger Games for their district. There are 12 districts and 2 people from each district choosen to fight to the death, until there is one victor. Katniss and Peeta are both from district 12, the poorest district, and only one can win. Will Peeta or Katniss survive? They are all brought to the arena in the capital where President Snow can almost make sure which ones will die, President Snow is not very fond of Katniss, and he can through obstacles at them. Will he make sure that Katniss dies? Read and find out! My favorite character is Katniss Everdeen, she is appealing to both boys and girls. She is beautiful, daring, bold, kind, and outrageous.
I strongly recommend this book for anyone over the age of 11. It is violent and graphic but even if you watched the movie you will love the book way better. My favorite part of the book is at the end games but I can’t reveal too much! My least favorite part of the book is in the middle of the games when certain people die. Others may believe that the book is too grown up for kids and that it is not realistic but, I believe that that is the fun of the book because it is set in the future.
A reader who likes action books and even love stories will love this! Even if you don’t like reading this book got me reading and I am most surely you’ll love it too! As I said before the book is very detailed in the way people die and should not be read by anyone younger than 10. I think that the age group that will love this book the most is ages 10 through 25. I strongly believe and recommend that you should read it and if you do you won’t want to put the book down!

  11. The Hunger Games

In this Dystopian novel,The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, is a very actioned book that you will love and will keep you wondering. The characters are Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark. They are forced to fight for their city in the Hunger Games. There are 12 districts and they are in the 12th district. In the Hunger Games they have to fight until there is one person remaining. I feel sorry for them because they have to go through this terrifying adventure. Who will survive? Will Katniss or Peeta? This book also has very sad moments during the book. My favorite character is Katniss Everdeen because she is very brave, and will be very much needed for the games. Although she is very focused during the games, she is also very kind and generous to Peeta throughout the games.

I really recomend this book for middle schoolers because middle schoolers dont often like reading, but this book is very interesting and when you read it you won't want to put the book down. 13. One day and one amazing morning on Orange street
Hooking teens on books is not always easy but Joanne Rocklin knows how! In this Fiction book, Ali, Robert, Bunny, and Leandra have an adventure under the shade of an Orange tree on a hot day in LA. Each of these characters have their own problems to deal with such as Ali has to help out her brother who doesn’t talk much. My favorite character in the book was Robert because he spends most of his days learning magic tricks by himself and tinkering around with things he finds under the Orange tree. Everyone on their block loves the tree and one day a mysterious orange cone is in front of the lot by the Orange tree. They soon find out that the city is going to cut the tree down and it’s the kids that need to stop them! Will they be able to stop the workers and save their beloved tree? Read to find out!
My favorite part of this book was at the end when they find out what will happen to their tree. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves fiction books. I believe this book was written for 11 and 12 year olds and will keep you reading till the very end. As you can see, this book has an amazing story and was very well written and would be a great book for many people to read.

Jake and Lily is an interesting realistic fiction story by Jerry Spinelli, with a great hook. It is about the troubles of twins, Jake and Lily. After growing up together all of their lives, they split up. One of the many problems is that Jake has many friends, but Lily is having difficulties making new ones. As children, the twins have lots of adventures including having a very special connection. Personally, my favorite character is Lily because she shares more feelings throughout the book, especially how she wants to spend more time with Jake, but unlike Lily, Jake wants to spend very little time with her.
If you like books with a strong conflict and books that keep you wondering what will happen next, this is a good book for you. I really enjoyed this action-packed story, and I strongly recommend it to anyone else. My favorite part of the book was definitely when Jake helped built a clubhouse for one of the neighborhood kids, because it showed kindness and teamwork. I do not have a least favorite part of the book, the whole thing is exciting. If you do not like a romance, do not worry. This book is simply a realistic fiction about having brother sister issues.

  15. Uglies
    Scott Westerfield
Do you enjoy reading science-fiction? If so then you will like Scott Westerfield’s Uglies. Uglies is about a society where being pretty is everything, so once you turn sixteen you have an operation that makes you beautiful. Tally Youngblood is the main character of this story but you will also run in to Shay, David, Croy, Maddy, Az, and the evil Dr. Cable. Tally’s best friend; Peris, has had the operation, leaving Tally all alone. She decides to sneak out to visit Peris one day and while she’s escaping she runs into Shay. Shay and Tally become friends, but a few days before they are about to get the operation Shay runs away. Dr. Cable then contacts Tally telling her that if she doesn’t find Shay then Tally will never be pretty. Tally then has to leave the city in search of her friend and the secret town that she spoke about. Once Tally gets there she has to decide if betraying her Shay and her new friends is worth being pretty.
I enjoyed this book because it was suspenseful and intriguing. My favorite part of the book was when Tally had to escape from the town and she tricked an agent into letting her escape by falling off a roof twice and then stealing a hoverboard. I don’t have a least favorite part of the book. Other readers might find this book exciting or strange.
I recommend this book because it is written very well and it is interesting. You would enjoy this book if you like suspenseful science-fiction books, but if you don’t like reading, then this book probably isn’t for you.

  16. The House of Hades

The House of Hades by Rick Riordan, it is a historical fiction book about the Greek and Roman gods, goddess, titans. This book is about six teenagers that are halfbloods. Halfbloods are the sons and daughters of the Greek and Roman gods. In this book Leo, Jason, Piper, and Hazel are trying to save Percy and Annabeth from Taturas. Percy and Annabeth are trying to get out so they could help their friends save the world from the Titan goddess Gia. While they try and get out Leo, Jason, Piper, and Hazel have to meet them on the other side of the doors of death. They have to sail through the dangerous seas after their flying ship the Argo 2 was damaged by the mountain gods in Italy. In the previous books in the series they have many adventures like this. My favorite character is Leo because he is very energetic and funny. He is faced with the task of of maintaining the ship and taking down a Titan that is guarding the doors of death.

This book is by far one of my favorite books that I have ever read. I recommend this book but before you read it you should read the first books of the series. The series is called The Heros of Olympus. My favorite part of the book was in the end when they have to fight all of the monsters on both sides of the doors of death. I did not have a least favorite part of the book. Opinions that others might have about this book is that they might not like how they have to kill all of the monsters or they might like the book like me.

I would recommend this book. I would recommend this book to middle schoolers and mabey high schoolers. If you like reading mythology and adventurous books then this book is for you. You would also like this book if you have read Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.

Suzanne Collins book Gregor the Overlander is a brilliant fantasy and if you have read the Hunger Games also by Suzanne Collins I guarantee you’ll love it.

He learns his dad might have fallen here and could be alive, only trapped by giant rats. Even if they saved his dad they still have a bigger problem, how are they going to get back to the real world?
My favorite part was when he met the giant cockroaches because he has no idea where he is and was in shock. My least favorite part was when there was a betrayal. I absolutely loved this book and recommend it to everyone. I especially recommend it to the people who have read the Hunger Games and like fantasies. Join the journey and read Gregor the Overlander.

Wonder is an amazing realistic fiction book written by R.J. Palacio. The story is about a boy named August who has a deformed face and has to deal with the fact that he is different and always will be. The main characters in this book are August, via, summer, Justin, Miranda, and Jack. In the story Jack and August get in an argument about Jack talking about August behind his back to his other friends. August is my favorite character out of the whole book just because he never gets down and always has a good attitude and even when he’s sad he doesn’t let it show. This is a great book for any age I enjoyed reading it a lot and if you read it I know you will too.

It’s about a girl who goes to school doesn’t like it because she wants to be called Ida b. But the teacher says no nick names so her mom goes and she sees how bad the teacher is with her so she told her that she can be home schooled and she was so happy. She helped her parents with the farm, and chores. Then her mom started getting sick and things start to happen. That’s when the story got juicier. What kept me turning the pages was because she had to go back to school and she hated everyone. My favorite part was when she screamed at the girl telling her that she doesn’t belong here. My favorite character was Ida B. because the spotlight was on her. The main characters have a lot of problems to solve. I think people who like realistic fiction should read this.
Read this book to find out. It is a very recommend book. I hope you enjoy it!

Then it talks about her college soccer time also it talks about her professional career with the United States women’s national soccer team. If you like sports books, you’ll love Hope Solo: My Story. THE FAULT IN OUR STARS!:)
    by John Green
Personally I don’t really like reading and I never really get into a book that much, but this book The Fault In Our Stars by John Green glued me to the pages and it was INSANELY amazing!! Its really focused on these 2 kids named Hazel and Augustus, who have a type of cancer and their lives with each other in them. (it shows you how much cancer SUCKS!)
This book is so amazing that I felt as if I knew these characters were my family, I felt every emotion they felt. It’s a heart-warming book but also a book that makes you cry every last tear. Your always urging to know what happens next. It also shows that you have to live the best life you can because you never know what the future holds for you.
I freakishly recommend this book, it is the best book EVER! Any person will like this book, 11 year olds to 100 year olds! YOU NEED TO READ THE FAULT IN OUR STARS!

  22. One of the best books I have read is Catching Fire, a dystopian novel by Suzanne Collins. Catching Fire is the second book out of three in The Hunger Games series. Catching Fire is about Katniss Everdeen, a hunter, and Peeta Mellark, son of bakers, who are chosen to take part in the 75th annual Hunger Games with 22 other tributes that fight to the death in a big arena. Katniss and Peeta live in district 12 out of the 12 districts. It is the poorest district of all and they are known for their mining and coal production. The purpose of The Hunger Games is to remind Panem, the country they live in, the consequences of going against the Capitol.

Personally I love this book and other people should definitely read it because all the action parts are very fascinating. My favorite part is when they count down before the Hunger Games begin and when they get down to zero and all the tributes start running and killing each other. I don't have a least favorite part but I strongly disagree with when one of my favorite people die in the book. I believe other people will also like this book.

I would definitely recommend this book to others especially if you liked the first Hunger Games and if you are interested in a dystopian genre. A dystopian genre is when you have a imaginary place which is set in bad conditions yet the characters still manage to come out on top or succeed. So you should really go to the local library or book store and pick up the Catching Fire book.

  23. A package of tissues came with the book, The Imperfect Spiral, by Debbie Levy. I thought that came as an obvious hint that this book might be a bit emotional, but boy was I wrong. This book was a page-turning tearjerker and because it’s a true story, its realistic fiction. So if you’d like to get away from you’re boring life and try handling a day in the gloomy, but entertaining life about a girl who befriends the five year old boy she is hired to babysit over her 10th grade summer break and finds herself getting so attached that watching him get struck and killed by a car is such a devastating crisis for her that it changes her whole life then you should read this book. At first, the upsetting event sends poor Danielle Snyder into depression that is so well described, you the reader feel it yourself. The traumatic event is of course not her own fault, but the guilt and grief that anyone would relate to helps you understand why she might think of herself as the killer.
The incident was a hit and run ordeal so the driver remains unknown throughout the book which becomes a big mystery which Danielle has to attend public meetings about. The whole situation becomes such a complication that she feels as if no one really cares for the actual Humphrey Danker, but just to get to the bottom of the mystery and make sure it never happens again. Justin, a boy Danielle meets at a park, helps Danielle overcome her sadness and spikes up an unsuspected romance. He has a life changing secret too hard to keep that he carries with him and has to hide from Danielle that could make or break their friendship.
I especially liked Danielle because she handles things the way I would, respectfully, maturely, and sarcastically. While some might think she is just a cry baby throughout the book, I see how it would just be a hard thing to face. I enjoyed one part where she talked things through with the little boy’s mother, Mrs. Danker, instead of hiding away from her; she came out and apologized just to make her feel better. I personally was intrigued by the whole book and would recommend it to people who really want to get into a book a have a couple tears fall. Teens could really relate because her school, friends, family life and boy trouble all play into it too!

  24. DR.SEUSS
Do you remember sitting in bed with your parent when you were little, all snuggled up in your batman or princess pajamas while they read you Dr. Seuss? How could you not?! Those were the good days! Dr. Seuss’ books have made a huge impact on kids and families in the United States. His stories are always silly and crazy, making rhyming and reading fun! The rhythm of the verses and words set their own mood, any where between happy or sleepy. There’s just the right Dr. Seuss book for every occasion, birthday gifts, nigh time reading, and life lesson teaching. Most of his books, as silly as they are always have a moral or lessoned to be learned. He just explains or presents the lesson differently, in a way that kids can understand easier. His books are also great for beginning readers who are learning phonics, there’s usually a pattern in the rhyming of his books that makes it easier for kids to practice their reading skills. In many Dr. Seuss classics like Green Eggs and Ham not only are the words intreaging, but so are the pictures. The imaginary characters dance around on the pages, lauphing and singing, coming to life in his stories. As you can see Dr. Seuss writes really good books, you should buy some for you’r kids and snuggle with them some night.

It's true his books are hilarious and I love how he drew the trees differently like in "Horton hear a who?". I have a collection of Dr. Seuss books and I've had them since I was probably like 2 or 3 years old. Two or three Christmas' ago my mom gave me one that is now my favorite one. It's called " A fish out of water" you'll have to read someday it's pretty good.

And they do,Cindy even learns sign language do she can talk to Megan. They both share moments and go to camp together. But as soon as Megan steps onto camp ground, she meets another deaf girl just like her! Cindy feels an empty gap in her while Megan is off with someone.
The book Deaf Child Crossing by Marlee Matlin is about Megan, a deaf child, who just wants a friend, one who would understand her. When Cindy moves across the street from Megan, Megan is sure she and Cindy will be best friends. They both soon enough become friends, Cindy learns that Megan is deaf, so she learns eone else, leaving Cindy all alone. This book relates to most people because they're friends leave them hang out with other people. My favorite character is Megan, she may be a little bossy but I like that she's brave in ways that the book didn't point out.
This is my number one favorite book and I love it. If anyone able to read once in a while, and I think they should read the Deaf Child Crossing because it's a easy book to read and it's really interesting through the whole entire book, there is no part of the book where nothing is happening, there's always something that Cindy or Megan are doing. My favorite part of the book is when they both go to camp because the two best face other people and they try new things. I like when Megan finds Lizzie, the other deaf girl, and they start hanging out together because Megan finally found someone else who's deaf like her. There is a part I don't like, it's when Cindy tries to help Megan when Megan gets fusterated, but Megan starts to scream at her that she can do it herself or that she doesn't want Cindy's help. Megan rejects Cindy and I don't think she should just do that. In others opinion, I think that they will like it, I recommended it to one of my friends and she loved the book too, and I think if you hear what the book is all about, I think that you'll want to read it.
I highly recommend the book, this book isn't a thick book or thin book, if your a reader who doesn't read so much or reads a lot, then this is the book for you because it's not hard at all, it's a good book to read outside in a soft spot on the grass. This book is fiction, and it's a real good one if you read it, so go on and read it because it will be the best book you will have ever read.

  26. The realistic fiction book called Diary of a wimpy kid “Cabin Fever” by Jeff Kinney was about Gregory’s family spending Christmas together. Instead they are stuck in their house by the snowstorm, and there dad was away because of his work, in a hotel relaxing without knowing that his family is stuck in the house, running out of food! That was the problem. One bad adventure they had was on a morning when Greg went to the basement and the snow has melted which made their basement flooded. So they all got in a line, including Manny, Greg’s little brother, and got Manny’s sand pails and started taking out the water. My favorite character was Manny because he is really naughty and smart. My favorite part of the book was when Manny turned down all the electricity except for his room, and took all of the good food into his room. I would recommend this book to people who get really excited for the holidays or just like the way the author writes it about their life’s into a diary. You will have to read this book if you want to find out more about what happened!

  27. Honus and me: a baseball card adventure, genre:science fiction
    Enrique L.

If you are looking for a book that hooks you in from the beginning and you love baseball i have the perfect book for you. This book is about a boy named Josh Stoshack but people call him Stosh he is the main character in this book. Stosh is not an ordinary boy, Stosh has the power to travel through time with baseball cards. Stosh was cleaning his neighbors atic, his neighbor told him to throw everything away. All of a sudden Stosh found a Honus Wagner card. their is only 40 of those cards in the world. He was very lucky to find that card.

I really liked this book because it was a lot about time traveling and baseball. My favorite part of the book was when Stosh found out how much that card was worth and he was so happy. My least favorite part of the book was when Stosh went to sell the card and the man told him it was a fake card so Stosh would give him the card.

I would recommend this book to all the baseball fans. If you are a reader who likes to be surprised you should read this book. If you dont like reading that much you should start to read this book. If you read this book and you like it you should read the series.

  28. The Hobbit
This action-packed fantasy novel is a classic book for all ages. Right off the bat, you get hooked and all you want to do is get cozy and read.

Bilbo Baggins, your average hobbit, got an unexpected visit from thirteen dwarves and and a wizard. He was sent on a compelling journey from his humble home on Bag End to the perilous lair of Smaug, the dragon of the ancient kingdom of the dwarves, the lonely mountain. He fights his way through goblin caves, giant spiders in Mirkwood and wood elves that hold him and his friends captive. He finds his way out of sticky situations with the help of his magic ring of invisibility he found after a strange creature tried to eat him alive. But the ring wasn’t the only thing he found on his quest, he found his courage and so will you once you read the enchanting tale of Bilbo Baggins.

I loved this book, it kept my mind occupied for weeks, even after I finished it. My favorite part was when they finally escaped the Goblin King’s grasp but went right to the Orcs. I guess you could say they got out of the frying pan and into the fire. But then the coolest thing happened: Gandalf, the wizard, started lighting all of the pine cones on fire, and since fire kills orcs, they fought them back until giant eagles saved them.

I would recommend this book for any middle schooler thirsty for adventure, loss and an amazing story.

Jake and Lily is a fun realistic fiction story by Jerry Spinelli with a good hook. It is about the troubles of not only being brother and sister, but being twins, Jake and Lily. After being together their whole entire lives, they face one problem FRIENDS. Jake and Lily have many adventures including having an extra special connection that happens every birthday. Personally my favorite character is Lily because she shares a lot of feelings in the book, including wanting to spend more time together.
I really enjoyed this book because it has a strong conflict and it kept me wondering what happened next. My favorite part of the book was when Lily beat up this kid called bump when Lily was playing in the snow GIRL POWER. If you have a twin then you will definitely relate to this book. I would recommend this book to people who like realistic fiction books. People that like fun books with some adventures in it should really read this book and even if you don’t like those types of books you should still give it a try.

  30. Legend by Marie Lu

If you want to read something legendary, well Legend by Marie Lu is the book to pick up. This dystopian novel takes place in the future America during a civil war between the Republic and the Colonies. This book has two points of view; Day the legend and June the prodigy. They start out as very different strangers but their paths collide when Metias, June’s brother, is mysteriously murdered and Day is a suspect. Throughout this book you will laugh, you will gasp, and you will cry. Its face meltingly awesome and jammed packed with action.
I really enjoyed this book because I have trouble focusing on books, but this book yanks my brain out of my skull and fills it with images of awesomeness. It has a little of everything, romance, action suspense and even hilarious moments. I recommend this book to any fan of the Hunger Games and Divergent series.

  31. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
    J.K. Rowling
Get in a nice chair with a blanket and a couple of snacks because you are going to get sucked into this fantasy book. This book is the forth in the series. This book is for people who love mystery with a lot of magic. Harry Potter is a teen that goes to a magical school called Hogwarts with his two friends Ron and Hermione. You read about them in their school year solving mysteries.
Harry Potter starts of at his aunt’s and uncle’s house because his mom and dad died from an evil wizard named Voldemort also known as ”you know who” because his name is so horrifying to say. His best friend Ron got his dad to get into taking his family and two best friends Harry and Hermione to the quidditch world cup. In the quidditch world cup there was a house elf sitting behind them named Winky. Winky plays a big role in the end. After the world cup a rising of the death eaters came through the camp sight. Everyone runs through the forest and then the dark mark rises. There are more adventure and mysteries of suspicion, like Ron’s parents weren’t telling them what was new at their school instead of quiditch, it was something else. Harry also needs to find out what the next task is and what to do. Serious Black, Harry’s god father, comes and gives him advice.
I personally loved this book it so far has been my favorite. I recommend reading the whole series, not one book and in order, a lot of people don’t read them in order which is weird. My favorite part of the book is the end when Voldemort shows up and the whole story just comes together. I would tell you more, but that would be a spoiler. Some people love this book, but some people think it is childish. My mom even loves the series and wants to read it again.
This is a book for a person who loves to read and get stuck not wanting to put the book down. You must have to love fantasy with wizards and mysteries. Make sure to look into the books before this one in the series.

  32. Deaf Child Crossing

Deaf child crossing is packed with heartfelt moments and a sprinkle of drama. Marlee Matlin is the author of this realistic fiction book. Megan is the main character and she is a deaf child who has hearing aids that provide her to hear some sounds and words, everyone in her town knows her for being friendly and kind. Cindy is Megan’s best friend who is there to help her. And Lizzie is Megan and Cindy’s friend that they met at camp.

Megan lives in a town where everyone knows her but she doesn't have friends her age. Then Megan finds out that a family with a daughter her age is moving into town so Megan waits anxiously for days until the day arrives. The new family is here Megan goes up to the family and introduces herself she meets Cindy her new neighbor. The next day Cindy receives an invitation and it says to go to Megan’s at ten. Cindy goes to her house and they instantly become friends. Cindy also learns sign language so she can communicate better with Megan. The next day Megan’s mom, Lainee tells Megan that she signed her up for camp but Megan does not want to go so Megan tells Cindy that her mom signed her up for camp but Cindy doesn't get why Megan doesn't want to go to camp. Then Megan reveals her secret. (Read the book to find out.) Cindy doesn't think her secret is a big deal so she tries to convince her to go to camp and Megan finally says yes. At camp they meet Lizzie who is also a deaf child so Megan and Lizzie star hanging out a lot and Cindy starts to feel left out. So when they have a camp fire they tell scary stories and Megan got inspired by a story and decides to pull a prank on the girls in her cabin so she runs into the woods but she gets lost, and can’t find her way out will they ever find her???

Personally I love this book I think it is one of the best books I have ever read. My favorite part of the book was when Megan reveals her secret, but my least favorite part of the book was when Megan started to hang out with Lizzie more and they left out Cindy. I recommend this book to readers that like books about friendship and a sprinkle of drama.

  33. Breaking Through is by Francisco Jimenez is a realistic fiction/memoir about a family that are immigrants from Mexico. There are only two children in the family who were born in the US. I choose this book because I like how they talk about a family trying to cross the border to come to America. And the experience of being alone without a parent, having to work and go to school every day. The two children work hard to send money to their parents even though the parents should be the ones sending them money.

Francisco Jimenez worked in the fields of California as a child. Francisco was also a freshman at Santa Maria High School. He had gratitude to his teachers whose guidance, faith, and ability to break through many barriers. He received both his master's degree and his Ph.D. from Columbia University.

People should read this book because it shows a real perspective. If you like reading books by Francisco Jimenez or about real life, this is a good choice because it talks about how some immigrants, families crossing the border, and how they help each other.

Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card
Ender’s Game is a great book that I would recommend for anyone who loves a good story. In the setting of future Earth, it follows the life of Andrew “Ender” Wiggin, a “third,” a child who exists only because of the extraordinary tactical ability in his genes. At age seven, he is whisked away from his home to Battle School, an army satellite orbiting Earth. Here he is trained to defend Earth from the Buggers, an alien race who would take Earth for themselves, destroying humanity in the process. Ender may be the only man, or boy, who can lead the International Fleet against the Buggers; but he will have to survive Battle School first.
I really enjoyed this book, and I think you will too. It has novel but sometimes very relatable characters, and an interesting plot. The whole book, especially the ending, is extremely powerful. Even if you don’t like science fiction, I think you should give this book a try, because is uses the futuristic setting to move the plot forward instead of having science just for science’s sake. And if you already like science fiction, this book will make you love it all the more.

  38. Do you love adventurous, action-packed, and hilarious books? If your answer is yes, you would love the fantasy series, Percy Jackson, by Rick Riordan. The stories are about the journeys Percy and his friends, Annabeth Chase and Grover, have. They run into many problems but the dilemmas bring them closer together.

The first book starts out with Percy finding out he is a child of the Greek sea God Poseidon. He goes to a camp named Camp Half-blood where other children of the Greek gods live. Percy soon finds out that he was accused of stealing Zeus's lightning bolt. In the second book, the trio goes on a voyage to the Sea of Monsters. On their way they get stuck on an island and for a while can’t get out! The third book is about the Greek Goddess, Artemis. She is hunting for monsters and Percy and his friends try to help. In the fourth book, Percy and Annabeth adventure into the the labyrinth that the famous Daedalus created. The labyrinth is all underground and slowly grows. You can walk two steps and end up in China when you started in America! The fifth and final book tells the story of the battle between Percy and the Greek Gods versus the Titans. The Titans want to take the throne back from the Gods! All the books were so good I can’t pick a favorite.

Through all of their adventures, you learn more and more about the characters. Percy is very courageous and sarcastic. Whenever he has an idea you know you’re in for a ride! Annabeth is brave and intelligent. Probably because she’s the daughter of Athena! Grover is kind of a scaredy cat, but always ends up helping out. I love all the characters because they work together perfectly. These are my favorite books because they always make you want to turn the page. I would recommend these books to young adults who love adventure stories. Even if you don’t like mythical stories I urge you to read them. I thought I wouldn’t like the Percy Jackson series but they ended up being my favorite books! I also love some of Rick Riordan’s other books. The Percy Jackson series does continue on to The Heros Of Olympus which I love too! Rick Riordan is definitely one of my favorite authors.

A 12 year old named kimo who lives in San Diego and then moves to Hawaii with his grandma and starts surfing and then finds a forbiden side of the beach witch is haunted with spirits. The main character is kimo because in his life is wear all the action happends.Kimo in this story played baseball and surfed while living in Hawaii with his grandma.Kimo’s only problem was to keep it a secret from his grandma that he crossed the fence to a forbiden side of the beach.Kimo’s adventure was when he was surfing on the dangerous side of the beach and crashed on a big wave and washed up on a big rock witch he saw a cave in and then,he went inside of the cave on his knees and then all of the sudden when he was about to go inside he got trapped by a big rock in the way and then he pushed so hard the rock came rolling out before kimo ran out of air inside the cave.My favorite character is kimo because nothing stopped him from his passion of surfing.

On a scale from 1-10 I will give it a ten because it’s a really good book and kimo is really adventurous in the book when it comes to surfing.I think other people who don’t have a high reading book should read it because it’s a chapter book and it’s a really really good book for thse who like mystery and sport books. My favorite part of the book was when kimo was almost killed by a tree because I coudnt wait to see what was next.Yes I have a favorite part of a book. They will probably like it because its just exciting whats gonna happened to kimo if crosses the forbiden side of the beach again.

I would recommend this book to the readers who like mystery and action in books.Readers who like mystery would like this a lot.

Written by Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games is a thrilling, complex, and action packed science fiction book that will keep you up for hours. Let me set the scene, North America has been divided in 12 separate districts not including the Capitol, but now it’s known as Panem. Here annually in every district one young boy and one young women between the ages of 12-18 are forced to fight to the death for entertainment of the Capitol in a dangerous arena that changes every year. Only one can survive, making that victor wealthy and famous. In this fast paced book you soon fall in love with the main characters, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark. Suzanne Collins makes many turns and twist making this book exciting and compelling. This book is written in Katniss's perspective where you discover all her mixed feeling for Peeta, memories she has about her family and the games as she fights starvation, and careers. In the story Katniss and Peeta must work together so that both of them are together in the end when Peeta has a giant wound. Besides the fact that they must also kill the other tributes that have been trained their entire lives for the games, the only problem is that only one can really survive in the end and be crowned victor the important question, Who will survive Peeta or Katniss? Now Katniss must use her knowledge of plants and wilderness along with hunting with a bow and arrow, and Peeta’s knowledge in baking, frosting and well lifting heavy objects to stay although the odds are never quite in their favor. My favorite character is Rue who comes from district 11 at age 12 -who you will learn about later on during the book because the author described her as a sweet little clever girl who everyone can relate to. But my favorite part of the whole book was the end since you want more and it leaves you hooked. Other than the Hunger Games there is also Catching Fire and Mockingjay the second and third book to continue the trilogy series of “The girl on fire” (Aka Katniss Everdeen).
Honestly whether you hate reading or not you will enjoy this book because there is action, romance, and comedy at times so a little something for everyone. But if you really do not like killing or violence this book is probably not for you. The Hunger Games is absolutely perfect to read in a rainy or boring day. Most importantly you will understand most of the words in the book. I really liked this book and hopefully you do to!

    The Mark Of Athena
    By: Rick Riordan
A page turner. It shall leave you, wondering who, what, where and why at every chapter especially in the final sentence. There's just so many problems coming towards the demigods inside the vessel of The Argo II. You never know what's heading, so get ready for the action.

In the past Percy, Annabeth’s boyfriend was missing or misplaced...Lost. Only to be found by Lupa the immortal wolf goddess of Rome. Wait! Rome? Yes Rome! But Rome is an enemy to the Greeks and Percy is a Greek demigod… Will the roman goddess help young Percy? or shall she dispose of the Greek?

When I read this book I was super duper excited in the beginning but yet devastated by the sad end of the last chapter.
The Mark Of Athena in my perspective is a good book, so if you're into fictional fantasy or maybe you want to try something new?

The main characters are: Percy Jackson son of Poseidon, Annabeth Chase daughter of Athena, Leo Valdez son of Hephaestus,
Jason Grace son of Zeus, Piper McLean daughter of Aphrodite,
Hazel Levesque daughter of Hades and Frank Zhang. They are all
demigods fighting against the forces of the evil giant Gaea. Who
wants to destroy the gods of Olympus and enslave the earth with her wrath of pain.

My favorite character in the book is Leo hes a really really smart engineer.Who can make fire in midair! How cool is that?
And actually diagrammed and created the Argo II in replica to the
actual Argo back in Greek and Roman times.
So any kid out there wants to read the heroes of Olympus? If so, what are you waiting for!? Find the book quickly!

  46. The book Kick by Walter dean Myers is amazing and filled with action and excitement. This book is about a kid named Kevin and he plays soccer but then he gets in trouble with the police and goes to jail then he gets set with sergeant brown a cop,and they both are trying to trust each other and begin a new path for Kevin with no more troubles with the police.

The main characters are Kevin, sergeant brown,Christina and Christina dad.Kevin is a great soccer player but one little incident changed his life he did one really bad thing and next thing you know he’s in jail so then he tries to get back on track with the help of sergeant brown.Christina is Kevin’s friend and she is has a very important part in this book. Finally now we talk about Christina’s father who wants press charges against Kevin for the crime he did but sergeant brown wants to change his mind.My favorite character was Kevin because he plays soccer very good and he has a good mindset with very interesting parts in the story and what happened in jail and the incident i find him very interesting.I liked this book a lot because it’s filled with action sports and a lot of drama. My favorite part of this book is when Kevin’s soccer team goes to the state cup finals against a very tough, hard, skilled and experienced team and they try all they try all they can to win it all.I would totally recommend this book to people who like sports and action-packed times even though it might be recommend for young adults it’s still a good book for really anyone who likes these type of books and if you guys don’t really like reading maybe because it’s either too boring or u just don't like it then this book might just change that.

  47. Peter and the Starcatchers

In an evocative and fast-paced adventure on the high seas and on a faraway island called Mollusk island, an orphan boy named Peter and his mysterious new friend, Molly, overcome bands of pirates and thieves in their quest to keep a fantastical secret safe and save the world from evil. But the thing is Peter’s not the only orphan who climbs aboard by the Never Land, there’s James, prentiss, Thomas and one whom goes by the name Tubby Ted. I’d have to say that Molly is someone that I would choose to have a friend because she’s so high-spirited and just always there for you. I find it amazing that Molly would always find as much help that she needs. If I didn’t want people reading this book then obviously I wouldn’t be typing this. If you like fantasy and classic Disney stories then you’ll love this book because it’s amazing how descriptive and imaginative on how it’s written between saying how the mermaids came to the Never Land and how Tinker Bell came into Peter’s life. To be honest there wasn’t really a favorite part in the book. Every sentence in every chapter just never bored me off, it was a page turner for me. Trust me if you read this book you’ll see for yourself because at the end of every chapter it persuades you in wanting to read more. I know that some of you have already read the book and may not have given enough interest in it but that’s only because you don’t have imagination and belief in magic to make you want to read it. Be a risk taker and give it chance, I mean at least read the first chapter and if you’re not interested then that’s your loss, if I had to scale it from one to ten I would give it a ten and a half. It’s especially that good to readers who love action, adventure and fairy tales then you’ll LOVE this series!!!

    By Dean Pitchford
Newt Newmann and his friends JJ and Cecil have always been a nobody. Until Newt’s football star brother, Chris, gets knocked out in to a coma. To get his mind of the accident, JJ and Cecil dress him up in some of Chris’s old clothes and unexpectedly create a new identity. Captain Nobody! His new identity gives him so much confidence that he steps into the role of a hero. My favorite character is Newt because with the new costume and confidence he does things he never knew he was capable of. But will his brother ever wake up?
I enjoyed this book because there is a lot of adventure and silliness. Other people should read it because it’s a great story to be read. My favorite part of the book is the ending because it makes you all teary-eyed. I don’t have a least favorite part of the book because it doesn’t deserve one. For some readers it will touch their hearts. I would recommend this book to readers that don’t really like reading and to readers that like adventures. Captain Nobody is somebody you’ll like to spend time with.

  49. Antonio Acuna PER 1"Kizzy Ann Stamps" historical nonfiction by: Jeri Watts is about a little black girl named "Kizzy Ann Stamps" and her trusty Border Collie "Shag". And she is worried about going to a new school. She’s worried how they’ll stare at her scar she got from a kid in a farming incident. And the boy that gave her the scar keeps following her and Shag.
Now she wants to enter shag in a herding compotion to test her skills in dog herding she is not even sure they’ll let a black girl compete. My favorite part is when they try to install a heater but it explodes. The sad part of this book is when Shag gets bit by a poisons snake. I thought the book was a great example of what life was like back then. I highly recommend this book for people who appreciate historical nonfiction.

My favorite book that I am going to write about is Flush by Carl Hiaasen. It is a Mystery. The Main characters name is Noah, and his sisters’ name is Abby. Although this book is a mystery, there is an adventure in it as well.
Noah’s dad is in the city jail for sinking the coral queen. He did this because he thought that all the Human waste that was on the Coral Queen (Lice Peking’s boat) was being flushed into the water. So that’s when Noah and Abby decide to figure it out on them self’s with each other. Abby and Noah will do whatever it takes to bust the coral queen.
When Noah’s dad gets out of his little city jail, he is determined to take down Lice Peking. But he was still on house probation (it’s were you have to wear some sort of bracelet) and he couldn’t go outside. That’s right after Noah meets a bartender on the Coral Queen, Shelly. Shelly didn’t like Lice so she was going on with the plan of busting him. If you are into books that just keep you on the edge, Then this is a perfect one for you

  52. Wonder

Have you ever read a book that touched your heart forever. If you haven't, make sure to read the book Wonder. Wonder is written by an amazing woman named R.J. Palacio. The main characters in this story is August Pullman, Summer, Jack Will, Via Pullman, and Julian. August is a 10 year old boy who was born with craniofacial anomalies which means facial disorder. When August was smaller he would wear a space helmet everywhere he would go and he would never take it of. August is facing his first major challenge and that is going to school. In this story August Pullman goes into 5th grade at beecher prep middle school and goes through some hard times. August had to face some obstacles during school. One of those obstacles was meeting a mean kid named Julian, and Julian’s friends. My favorite character in this book is August Pullman because he never stopped believing in himself, and he always kept his head up even when people were making fun of him.

I enjoyed reading this book because its very interesting and i liked how it had more than one persons point of view. I believe you should read the book wonder because it gives a good message about always trying to challenge yourself to do something you are afraid of no matter what other people tell you. This book is so good it might even make you tear a little like it did to me.

I would recommend this book to any person in the world no matter how old you are.If you like realistic fiction books, i promise you will love this book after you read it. If you really love reading then go to the closest library to you and go check out the book Wonder. You will not regret getting it.

  53. The Last Olympian
I would like to introduce you to an amazing book by Rick Riordan called The Last Olympian. This book is amazing because the action in the book never stops. You always want to keep on reading because you want to see what happens next. The Last Olympian is the final book of the series Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
This story is about demi-gods that go into the titan war. The evil titan, Lord Kronos wants to take over the world. This is the second titan war, before the first titan war Kronos ruled the world. Kronos was so evil that he even ate his own children. When finally his wife gave birth to Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. She hid her most precious child, Zeus. But Kronos ate his other children since they were gods and he was not. When Zeus grew up he cut his father in half with his fathers weapon. Poseidon and Hades came out of their father’s body. Since they were gods they were not only alive but they were fully-grown. Together the brothers cut their father into tiny bits and threw him to Tartarus. Tartarus is the home of the evilest Greek monsters on earth.
I would recommend this to people that love fantasy fiction. If your kid that likes real life I would not recommend this book. This book has nothing to do with real life. But for some readers it is relaxing to get your mind off stress and life. I warn you though; you will never be able to get your eyes off this book. I would also recommend reading the series in order, but you will eventually get to this book.

My favorite book is The First Day of School…. Forever! By R.L. Stine (Fiction)
The book is about a middle schooler named Artie that goes to a middle school named Ardmore Middle School. When he bumps his head on the floor he knows it’s going to go terribly wrong on the first day of school and when his little brother spills syrup on his hair. The main characters are Mr.Jenks the principal, Shelly (Arties crush), Mrs.McVie the teacher, Wowser the dog, Brick the bully and Artie’s little brother Eddy.
I enjoyed the book because it makes you not want to stop and it makes you keep turning pages .My favorite part of the book was when he told his mom that he knows what’s going to happen after the first day of school that repeats … and repeats…. And repeats and his mom didn’t believe him. My least favorite part of the book was when Artie walks in the school library and he sees a bunch of weird monsters and I got pretty scared. Well I would say that the people that don’t really like to read I would suggest reading this book its short and scary to read.
I would absolutely recommend this book because if you like fiction and scary books then this is the right book for you to read. If you totally don’t like books I absolutely love this book and if I enjoyed it I know you would too.

One day while surfing at Haena State Beach Bethany and Alan experience a horrible accident that they will never forget. My favorite character in the book is Bethany because she worked hard to achieve her dreams even when it looked like she couldn't. She believed in herself and never gave up. I liked the books because Bethany never gave up no matter what her challenges were. My favorite part of the book is when she got back up on her surf board. My least favorite party is when she had her accident. If you like to read biographies and enjoy a story about faith and believing in yourself you would like this book. I don't recommend this book if you don't like sad stories because even though it is happy it has sad parts too.

I love this book and others should read it too because it’s hilarious. My favorite part of the book was when Greg faints when he finds a bunch of crickets in a board game.I really don’t have a least part because its such a funny book. Others might also say it’s cute or lifelike.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone. It would be a great book for the winter break that's coming up.

The story is told from two perspectives. One from a girl named Rose who lives in the 20s and boy named Ben who lives in the 70s. Rose's story is told through pictures and Ben's through words. The two stories intertwine in the most fitting way.

I thought the combination of words and pictures was perfect for the story of Rose and Ben. This story explains the love of art, of museums, of books and most of all people. I loved both the characters but I think I gravitated toward Ben more, and that's because his story was told in words and I'm a reader, of course I love words. But the pictures were no slouch in the storytelling. I could feel myself being tugged into the story and the illustrations gave an atmosphere of the book that the words probably couldn't do alone. The author is a gifted illustrator.

The most impressionable part for me was how happy I felt for the characters after I finished the story. Not in a way but in a way that can be understood by being a human being. That way the story can creep and crawl into you just the way it should.

  76. Unstoppable by Tim Green
    by Cole Pritchard
Unstoppable by is probably the best book I have ever read. Its genre is realistic fiction. It is good because it is not a huge book that you will get bored but thank god it isn't short so that you will finish it very fast. I would definately recommend it to anyone who likes sports.

In the beginning of the book i think it starts up a little slow but is definitely worth it if you keep reading. He is a orphan living with a horrible foster family but just when he thought he was about ready to run away he got transferred to a family with the husband who prefers to be called coach with a lovely wife who acts like a loving mother. Things are going good for harrison, hes on the football team, has a best friend and great foster parents. But will he be able to handle probably the hardest challenge of his life?

In conclusion i think this is a great book for anyone who is involved in sports or just anyone looking for a good book. Its great how it hooks you in to the point where you have to finish every chapter. I rate it 10 out of 10 and as i have said before this is probably the best book i have ever read. Just read it and you will be agreeing with me!

The best book I have ever read is the one and the only JURASSIC PARK. This book is described as a tornado-paced tale, fast, furious and suspenseful, a sure-fire bestseller, a vastly entertaining science thriller, action-packed, and a 100% very scary story that you will NEVER forget! In fact, it was so popular that the book later got transformed into a movie!
The book is about a company called InGen that has genetically created dinosaurs and Dr. Alan Grant (The main character and my personal favorite!) has come to the island to see how these marvelous creatures lived as Dr. Grant himself is a paleontologist. But things go horribly wrong as the power mysteriously goes out and the dinosaurs break out of their containment pens. And what’s worse, is that not ALL of the dinosaurs are harmless as it is later revealed that InGen has also created carnivorous dinosaurs! Will the good paleontologist escape this nightmare…ALIVE? You’ll have to read the book to find out!
My favorite part is when the Tyrannosaurus (T-rex for short!) broke out of it’s pen and terrorizes the survivors which lead me to worry about what would happen next!
Any Questions? Comment now and whoever likes science fiction or scary books will find Jurassic Park a phenomenal experience!

    By: R.J. Palacio

Wonder is about a boy named August and he has a face that isn't exactly...ordinary. In this book Jack will, Via, Julian, Justin, Summer and Miranda all have a chapter that explains there problems and feelings about August. Many of them also explain their family problems, social problems and school problems also. My favorite character was August because he was very brave and intelligent. Another reason I love this book is because I love reading about Auggie's adventure in fifth grade at Beecher Prep.
I love this book because it has really nice detail. I don't remember the last time I enjoyed a book as much as I did to this book! My favorite part was when Auggie's sister,Via, describes what August looks like, and I have to say he looks a lot different then I imagined he would. I'm pretty sure there wasn't one part I didn't like about the book.
I strongly recommend this book because it have very short chapters for those of you who like to have a place to stop and it has non-stop action. That book was glued to my eyes! This is a great realistic-fiction all ages, but WARNING: When reading have tissues in reach!! Now go read Wonder!!!

  84. The best book that I have ever read was Wonder by R.J. Palacio. Wonder is my favorite book because it’s about a ten year old kid named August Pullman. August has Treacher Colins syndrome.
He was born with the syndrome; the syndrome is that you have a whole bunch of different layers of problems. When August was a little kid he had a whole bunch of surgeries now his face is all messed up and all deformed. I cannot tell you how he looks I do not want to be a spoiler. August needs hearing aids.
When you read this book every chapter is a different person of Augusts friends and family members like Jack, Summer, Via, and Miranda. Watch as August goes to school for his first time in 11 years. Watch as he makes friends and enemies in his first year in 5th grade. I think that everyone should at least read 25 pages of the book then you would get sucked into the book so read the book!!

The main characters were Hok, Lok and Siew. My favorite character is Siew because he asked for all the food. J

My favorite part is the end, but you have to read to figure it out for yourself. My favorite part was when they all sat down like a family and ate, told stories and sang songs together.

In Anthony Horowitz’s action-packed spy novel, Skeleton Key, the protagonist, Alex Rider, encounters more than he expects in the evil---yet---kindhearted villain, General Sarov, an old Russian war hero turned bitter by the way Russia has changed, in his eyes, for the worse.
Alex is a fourteen-year-old MI-6 agent who leaves his country of Great Britain to work for the CIA. (Alex has to leave Britain because of his defeat of a Chinese Triad member, but that’s another story.) Alex’s mission is to work alongside CIA agents, Carver and Troy, to find the one-kilogram of military grade uranium in Sarov’s possession. With this uranium Sarov plans to make a bomb and blow up part of Russia. Alex’s mission is launched into disarray when his partners are killed and Sarov captures him. When Alex is held prisoner but treated like a guest, he can’t believe it when Sarov reveals his intention to adopt Alex. One of Sarov’s minions, Conrad, who has metal pins all over his body, flies Alex and Sarov to a Russian naval dock with seven nuclear powered submarines, where he places the uranium on one of the submarines with a crane, and handcuffs Alex to a rail. Alex escapes and he and Conrad battle until Alex manages to get Conrad under the magnet on the crane. Alex then drops Conrad into the water and deactivates the uranium bomb Sarov made. Sarov asks Alex to join him as a son again and Alex refuses, saying he has nothing but contempt for such a diabolical mind. What follows next is the most unexpected part of the book ever.
The most suspenseful and my favorite part of the book is the climax where Conrad and Alex battle. Alex’s wits save him from the formidable Conrad, who cannot feel pain and will stop at nothing to kill Alex.
I recommend this book to any adolescent who loves action and fast–paced adventure.

  100. A Child Called “It”
The book is extraordinary. It’s AMAZING how the author explains every little detail. I love the passion and the love and sadness in the book. When I read it I couldn’t stop crying till the very last word. The way the mother hit the little kid the way he suffered. No child should be treated that way. His only hope was his dad, but then after a while his dad broke all his promises, his promises about getting out of the house, trying to escape. It was unfair hoe the mom treated him he had two older brothers. The mom would always let them go outside and play. While his brothers were out there playing he would be doing the chores and other things. Instead of his mom calling him by his first name the would call him “The Boy”. David would try to make the best of it. He would struggle, but get back up and try. Sometimes he felt like a hero. Each time he would get in trouble it would either be a smack in the face or a punch in the face if it wasn’t bad. David would not eat and if he got luck he would eat left over cereal from his brother. He would go early in the morning to school to steal food from kids or the cafeteria .

If you are young you should read wonder to see how Wonder, Summer, Jack will, Julian see how they overcome there teen ages. this is my favorite book because , Its about a boy named wonder who has a weird disorder to his face. He’s a very smart kid but people don’t think of him as a smart kid. Wonders mom wanted him to go to school for his 5th grade year. His mom applied for a school called beacher prep. Wonder got except to the school he was very scared to go to school but find out how he deals with it. Its a very good book threw out and you see how disabled people overcome life. The book me not to stare or make fun of kids that don’t have it as good as me. I would recommend this book for kids that are growing up into their early teens. it just teaches a life lesson. a reader with a big heart would enjoy this book.
